CATHERINE ORLY
Since 1760, 9 generations, this domain belongs to a french family and is generally directed by women. Once again, they have just followed the tradition. The Orly family owns 7.5 ha of vines in one piece, exclusively in AOC controlled designation of origin, "Chénas", the rarest Beaujolais Crus. The terroir of steep granitic hillsides are exposed both at midday and on the slopes of Pic Remont. They make it possible to produce Chénas from the Domaine des Côtes Rémont, a festive and fruity wine, harvested from old vines (average age: 35 years) where quality is at the expense of quantity! Once again, women are in the spotlight at Rémont because their Chénas Côtes Rémont is recognized by the personality of Catherine OLRY one of the stars in Beaujolais and the star of our Day 1.
