Sardegna - Wine: Mastio
We have found the same passion for the territory in a young Sardinian entrepreneur. The husband, together with his brother, have inherited the vineyards but since 2012 the company has been enriched with the participation of the wives, Paola Hoffmann and Daniela, who deal with the winemaking. They decided to engage in wine production and they do it with pride and smile. The Mastio farm brought with it the flavors and colors of Sardinia to the vinitaly. Sardinian white wine Vermentino di Sardegna Doc Malicas is the result of a selection of Vermentino grapes with a Guyot plant and low yields (about 60/80 quintals per hectare). A part of the grapes is first worked with the technique of cryomaceration, so as to preserve all the typical aromas of Vermentino (hints of wild flowers and ripe white fruit, with a mineral finish that completes the general harmony). Its refinement, after the steel containers, goes directly into the bottle for the last finishing. When consumed, the wine presents citrus and fresh rosemary notes, the excellent acidity generates in the mouth, a soft and full taste.
